BOHOL, PHILIPPINES - The Philippine independent film Feather Wars, a 140-minute coming-of-age adventure comedy, has officially completed production. Filmed entirely on location in Bohol, the movie highlights Filipino culture, provincial life, and the controversial world of sabong (cockfighting), delivering a gritty yet heartfelt story of family, survival, and resilience.

Written and directed by Tim Fitzharris and produced by Jesse Fitzharris under Blue Island Films, Feather Wars features an all Filipino cast and crew, many based in Bohol.

The film follows two aspiring teen musicians fleeing their unstable stepfather across the Philippine countryside in a battered tricycle. Along the way, they enter underground cockfighting arenas using clever scams to fund their escape while wrestling with moral dilemmas and sibling rivalry. Blending dark comedy, music and adventure, the film offers both local authenticity and international appeal.

In development, the screenplay earned global recognition including Finalist honors at the Creative World Awards and Semi-Finalist status at the Los Angeles International Film Festival. Industry reviewers praised its “quirky and fun” tone, vivid sense of place and strong themes of love and family.

Principal photography began March 1, 2024, wrapping after three months with post-production completed in November 2025. The production showcases rising Filipino actors Casey Villaro and Brandon Phillips alongside veteran performers Melchor B. Daniel Jr. and Hasna Cabral.
