Nopetro Energy Celebrates 10 Years of Partnership with LYNX, Announces New CNG Station in Kissimmee
Miami, FL, USA - March 5, 2026 - Nopetro Energy, a vertically integrated producer, distributor and operator of natural gas solutions across North America, announced today it has extended its decade long partnership with LYNX, the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority and will build a new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Kissimmee, made 100% from renewable natural gas (RNG). Expanded fueling capacity allows LYNX to scale service efficiently delivering reliable transportation to thousands of riders each day.

The new station will be located at 100 N. Alaska Ave., Kissimmee, FL 34741. It will feature two fueling lanes and two dispensers. Construction is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 2026, with operations beginning shortly thereafter.
"Public transit agencies need fueling infrastructure that keeps pace with their growth," said Jorge Herrera, CEO of Nopetro. "This new station strengthens LYNX's ability to operate a modern, lower emission fleet while managing costs and maintaining reliable service."
Why does this station benefit Central Florida communities?
The Kissimmee station will further strengthen LYNX's CNG infrastructure, enhancing reliability and improving operational efficiency. CNG continues to be a practical option for public transit systems because it offers lower, more stable pricing compared to diesel, reduced emissions and reliable performance for high mileage fleets. By expanding fueling infrastructure in Kissimmee, LYNX can support future service growth while maintaining operational efficiency.
How has Nopetro supported LYNX over the past decade?
Over the past 10 years, Nopetro has played a pivotal role in developing and maintaining LYNX's CNG ecosystem, including infrastructure design and construction, maintenance facility build outs, fleet conversion initiatives and a revenue sharing model that delivers value to both organizations.
The new Kissimmee station builds on that foundation and reinforces the partnership's focus on reliability and long term planning.
How does this project fit into Nopetro's broader Florida footprint?
The Kissimmee facility will be the 15th CNG station operated by Nopetro in Florida. The company also develops renewable natural gas infrastructure across the state.
The company has developed landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) infrastructure across the state, most recently announcing a $50 million investment to develop a facility in Manatee County, which is expected to generate enough energy to power approximately 4,500 homes each year. Nopetro also operates an RNG facility in Vero Beach, which has been producing affordable, lower emission fuel for buses and trucks and improving local air quality since its opening in Q3 2025.
